Vela Trading Sdn. Bhd. is a startup online skincare and makeup company based in Kuala Lumpur with Malaysia as phrase one of our ASEAN project.Parent company of Vela Trading Sdn.Bhd. has been operating for 6 and a half years in a different industry. All our skincare / makeup products are NPRA notified and we DO NOT engage in parallel importing.

We are seeking an entry level Digital Marketing Associate with understanding / experience on Google Ads and working knowledge of social media advertising to deliver data-driven, measurable outcomes.

Salary & benefits

Base salary of $ 3200- 3500 (based on experience & performance)

• Working location – Serviced office at Citta Mall
• hours — 9am - 6pm normally but can be discussed due to "lovely" traffic in KL with 1 hour lunch break
• Mandarin reading and speaking is highly preferred ( see job description below)
• EPF, SOCSO & EIS - Don't ask / the MD does not want to get arrested.

• Able to work on certain weekends ( for Pop up event purposes, estimated once every 6-8 weeks ( with OT paid )

Job description

• Liase with external parties / agency on developing FB /IG /TikTok posts .
• Assist the MD to develop Google SEM campaigns to meet KPIs and ROI goals, including keyword strategy, ongoing optimisation.
• Stay updated with skincare / makeup trends, Google Ads trends, tools.
• Support planning and execution of social media advertising campaigns (e.g. Meta Ads), including audience targeting, ad setup, optimisation
• Analyse campaign performance to improve efficiency and lead quality.
• liase with external parties / agencies on pop up event.
• Prepared Google Survey for our study group.
• Occassionally follow up with NPRA on skincare / makeup products notification.
• TikTok shop / websites product enrollment (upload pictures and description).
• Identify opportunities to grow client accounts and enhance digital performance through integrated search and social strategies.

What We’re Looking For

1-2 years of experience in digital or performance marketing

• hands-on experience with Google Ads
• Exposure to social media advertising (Meta Ads or similar platforms)
• Strong understanding of campaign optimisation and performance marketing principles
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin for Xiaohongshu, able to read excel from makeup accessories manufacturers from China and prepare mini presentation for study group
• Experience working with KOL or KOL agency is a plus but NOT necessary.
• Strong SEM knowledge, with the ability to support social media campaigns within an integrated marketing strategy
• Experience working in an agency environment is a plus
