Role Description The Commissioning Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing commissioning activities for engineering projects, from pre-commissioning to final handover. Day-to-day tasks include developing commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules; supervising site commissioning teams; conducting functional and performance tests; and ensuring that all systems are installed and operating according to design specifications, safety regulations, and client requirements. The Commissioning Manager will collaborate with design, construction, and operations teams to resolve technical issues, manage documentation, and support audits and inspections. This role also involves reporting progress, identifying risks, and implementing corrective actions to ensure timely and successful project completion.
Qualifications

• Strong background in engineering or a related technical field, with experience leading commissioning activities for industrial, infrastructure, or building systems.
• Proficiency in developing and implementing commissioning plans, test procedures, and documentation, including reports, checklists, and handover packages.
• Sound knowledge of relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance practices applicable to commissioning and start-up.
• Excellent project coordination and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and external contractors.
• Ability to analyze technical issues, troubleshoot system performance, and recommend practical solutions under time and resource constraints.
• Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal); proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related discipline) or equivalent professional experience.
• Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role in commissioning or project execution is highly beneficial.
• Willingness to work on-site, adhere to safety requirements, and occasionally travel to project locations if required.
