About the role
We are seeking an Electronic Engineer to design hardware system architectures, FPGA solutions, and ARM/DSP-based embedded hardware. You will take part in hardware integration and testing, collaborate with software and test engineers, and prepare technical documentation.
Key responsibilities
- Design hardware system architectures, including schematic capture, component selection, and PCB layout.
- Develop FPGA solutions using Verilog/VHDL, including RTL coding, functional simulation, and timing verification.
- Design ARM/DSP-based embedded hardware and develop low-level drivers.
- Participate in hardware integration and testing, resolving signal integrity, EMC, and power integrity issues.
- Work with software and test engineers on system-level integration and troubleshoot FPGA interface and communication issues.
- Prepare hardware design documents, test reports, BOMs, and other technical documentation; support production technical handover.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in Electronic Engineering, Information Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Automation, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, with a solid foundation in analogue electronics, signal processing, and embedded systems.
- At least 3 years of FPGA or embedded hardware development experience, covering the complete project lifecycle.
- Proficiency in Verilog or VHDL and hands-on experience with Vivado, Quartus, or similar EDA tools.
- Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB design software such as Cadence or Altium Designer.
- Familiarity with SPI, I2C, UART, USB, Ethernet, and other common interface protocols.
- Experience in fibre Bragg grating (FBG), fibre-optic sensing, optoelectronic sensing, or precision measurement instrumentation is preferred.
- Hands-on experience using oscilloscopes, optical spectrum analysers, and other electronic or optical test equipment. EMC certification experience is an advantage.
- Strong self-learning ability, intellectual curiosity, and enthusiasm for exploring emerging technologies.
