Roles & Responsibilities

BO Chargeman

• Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and safety of the plant's 11kV and LV electrical distribution systems, including transformers, switchgear, generators, and electrical facilities.
• Perform preventive, predictive, corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical equipment to ensure reliable plant operation.
• Lead and support electrical CAPEX and improvement projects, including project planning, installation, testing, commissioning, and contractor supervision.
• Review electrical drawings, Single Line Diagrams (SLD), technical specifications, and project scope to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Perform or review electrical engineering calculations such as cable sizing, transformer sizing, protection devices, load calculations, and electrical system capacity.
• Ensure compliance with Suruhanjaya Tenaga regulations, electrical safety standards, and maintain a valid BO Chargeman certification for registration of Chargeman for EDSB.

Utility / Facility Engineer

• Plan and manage preventive and corrective maintenance for facility infrastructure and utilities.
• Lead and manage a team of facility technicians.
• Coordinate with other departments to address facility maintenance work requests effectively.
• Lead facility projects involving mechanical, electrical, civil, and building services.
• Prepare monthly building management and maintenance reports, providing recommendations for improvements and upgrades.
• Prepare project scope, technical specifications, budgets, and monitor project progress.
• Ensure facilities comply with HSE, ISO, and company standards.
• Monitor maintenance performance, costs, and equipment reliability while leading the facility maintenance team.

Requirements

• Valid BO Chargeman (11kV) certificate issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in electrical project execution, including installation, commissioning, and contractor management.
• Able to read and review Electrical Single Line Diagrams (SLD) and electrical drawings.
• Knowledge of electrical engineering calculations, including cable sizing, transformer sizing, load calculations, and protection coordination.
• Strong troubleshooting, project management, communication, and leadership skills.
