Senior Test Automation Engineer / Testing Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer / Testing Engineer with strong hands-on automation experience and proven experience handling complex testing and delivery projects.

The candidate should be capable of owning testing activities, troubleshooting difficult issues, contributing to automation framework development, and providing technical guidance to other QA engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Own automation and testing activities across assigned projects/products.
• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and test suites.
• Automate Web UI, Mobile, API, and backend testing.
• Define test coverage and identify automation opportunities.
• Troubleshoot flaky tests, environment issues, automation failures, and CI/CD pipeline problems.
• Handle test planning, regression testing, defect management, and release validation.
• Perform backend and transactional validation using SQL.
• Integrate and maintain automation within CI/CD pipelines.
• Review automation code and improve framework reusability and maintainability.
• Work with Development, Product, and QA teams to resolve complex quality issues.
• Mentor QA/Automation Engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Support QA reporting, release decisions, and continuous improvement.

Technical Skills

• Automation: Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, Katalon or equivalent
• Programming: Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#
• API: Postman, REST API, Karate, REST Assured
• Database: Strong SQL
• CI/CD: Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Bitbucket
• Strong experience in functional, regression, integration, API, and end-to-end testing

Leadership & Delivery

• Experience managing complex or challenging testing projects independently.
• Ability to manage testing priorities, risks, dependencies, and timelines.
• Experience mentoring or technically guiding other QA engineers.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
