Overall Purpose of the Job

Responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing systems and processes for managing drilling fluid and solids control in oil and gas drilling operations.

Principle Duties

• Oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of solid control equipment and systems on drilling rigs. Ensure proper setup, calibration, and integration with drilling operations to optimize performance and efficiency.
• To provide technical support and guidance to drilling crews on solid control practices, equipment operation, and troubleshooting.
• To monitor drilling fluid properties, solids content, and system performance to identify issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
• To ensure compliance with environmental regulations, industry standards, and best practices for solid control and waste management.
• To maintain accurate records of solid control activities, equipment maintenance, fluid analysis results, and regulatory compliance documentation.
• To promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship by implementing risk mitigation measures, safety protocols, and pollution prevention practices.
• To provide training and education to drilling personnel on solid control principles, equipment operation, and safety procedures.

Knowledge/Experience Required for the Job

1. General knowledge in oil & gas industry and offshore operation workflows
2. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and planning tools.
3. Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
4. Excellent communication and coordination skills across multicultural teams.
5. Ability to work under pressure and respond to urgent operational changes.

Academic/Professional Qualification

Bachelor degree in petroleum engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field.
