THE JOBSCOPE

• Supervise and coordinate the banquet team during events and functions.

• Conduct pre-event briefings and allocate duties to team members.

• Ensure banquet rooms, tables, service stations, and equipment are properly set up before the event.

• Oversee food and beverage service to ensure timely and professional delivery.

• Coordinate closely with the kitchen and event team to ensure smooth service.

• Monitor guest requirements and respond promptly to requests or concerns.

• Ensure service standards, table settings, and presentation are maintained throughout the event.

• Supervise table clearing, resetting, and post-event breakdown.

• Monitor the handling of crockery, cutlery, glassware, and banquet equipment.

• Assist with buffet setup, replenishment, and service when required.

• Handle guest feedback and resolve service issues professionally.

• Monitor staff grooming, hygiene, punctuality, and work performance.

• Provide guidance and on-the-job training to banquet servers.

• Ensure food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures are followed.

• Check banquet areas before and after events to ensure proper cleanliness and setup.

• Report operational issues, damages, or shortages to the Banquet Supervisor/Manager.

• Assist with inventory and control of banquet operating equipment.

• Support the team during multiple or large-scale events.

• Perform any other duties assigned by the Banquet Manager or management.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in banquet or F&B service is an advantage.

• Good communication and customer service skills.

• Friendly, positive, and service-oriented.

• Well-groomed and professional.

• Able to work well in a team.

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Physically fit and able to stand for long periods.

• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
