Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst to support application delivery initiatives within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong business analysis capabilities, excellent stakeholder management skills, and hands-on experience in Agile project delivery.

The role involves understanding business processes, gathering and analyzing requirements, defining user stories and acceptance criteria, and collaborating closely with business users, project teams, developers, and testing teams to deliver high-quality application enhancements and releases.

The successful candidate will report to the Lead Business Analyst and contribute to delivering digital capabilities and application improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out business process identification, definition, and process mapping activities
• Participate in planning and designing business processes and recommend process improvements
• Work closely with project teams to define and elaborate features and user stories for future releases and sprints
• Ensure user stories meet the Definition of Ready, including detailed acceptance criteria
• Maintain and manage backlog of features and user stories for upcoming sprints
• Elicit business requirements through:
  • Interviews
  • Workshops
  • Document analysis
  • Surveys
  • Use cases
  • Workflow analysis
  • Business process analysis
• Translate business requirements into clear and concise functional specifications and user stories
• Work closely with users and stakeholders to clarify business needs and concepts
• Identify and validate key business requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, development, and testing teams
• Support delivery of projects and application enhancements
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand business strategies and future initiatives
• Analyze business needs and identify opportunities for new processes or process improvements
• Define business problems and project objectives
• Support and maintain applications according to SLA timelines
• Ensure compliance with IT SDLC policies and procedures
• Resolve complex application and project-related issues

Required Skills & Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in IT application delivery
• Strong Business Analysis experience in Agile/Scrum environments
• Experience in:
  • Requirement gathering
  • User story creation
  • Acceptance criteria definition
  • Backlog management
  • Process mapping
  • Functional documentation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and across multiple functions

• Experience in Insurance industry
• Strong command of English language
