Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and lead the end-to-end operations of a precast concrete manufacturing plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for production, maintenance, logistics, inventory, safety, workforce management, and overall operational performance.

The role requires a strong managerial and leadership background, with the ability to manage multiple departments, lead department heads and supervisors, drive operational efficiency, and ensure that business, production, quality, cost, and delivery targets are achieved.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the precast concrete, construction, or manufacturing industry.
• At least 5 years of managerial experience overseeing multiple operational functions.
• Strong management and leadership skills, with proven ability to lead, motivate, manage and develop teams.
• Experience managing large workforces in a manufacturing or precast environment.
• Strong knowledge of precast concrete manufacturing, plant operations, logistics, maintenance, inventory management and production planning.
• Proven ability to manage multiple departments and operational functions simultaneously.
• Strong planning, problem-solving, decision-making, delegation and organizational skills.
• Ability to set operational priorities, allocate resources effectively, and hold teams accountable for performance.
• Experience in KPI management, operational reporting and performance monitoring.
• Proficient in ERP systems and other relevant operational management systems.
• Ability to work closely with Singapore HQ and manage cross-border operational requirements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management, department heads, supervisors, employees, customers and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee overall plant operations, ensuring productivity, quality, cost and delivery targets are achieved.
• Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company's business objectives.
• Oversee Production, Safety, Maintenance, Logistics, Warehouse and Plant Administration functions.
• Manage and coordinate department heads, supervisors and operational teams to ensure smooth and efficient plant operations.
• Lead, motivate, coach and develop the management team and workforce, fostering a strong culture of accountability and performance.
• Establish clear operational objectives and ensure department heads and supervisors are accountable for achieving their respective KPIs.
• Plan and optimize the utilization of manpower, equipment, materials and plant resources.
• Monitor operational KPIs, identify performance gaps and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
• Manage plant budgets, operational expenditure and cost-control initiatives.
• Coordinate closely with Singapore HQ on production planning, project requirements, manpower planning and resource allocation.
• Drive operational excellence, productivity improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve efficiency and reduce wastage.
• Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards, environmental regulations and workplace safety requirements.
• Manage and coordinate customer audits, authority inspections and certification requirements.
• Identify operational risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
• Prepare and present operational reports, performance updates and recommendations to senior management.
• Ensure effective communication and coordination across all departments to maintain smooth plant operations.
