Universal Robina Munchy's (URM), part of Universal Robina Corporation (URC), is looking for an:

Position Title: Manager, Corporate Communications

Employment Type: Full-time


Manager, Corporate Communications is responsible to lead the company's internal and external corporate communications to strengthen corporate reputation, employee engagement, leadership communications and stakeholder trust. The role develops and delivers communication strategies, manages corporate communication channels, supports media relations and ensures timely, accurate and consistent messaging across the organization.


What are the Key Responsibilities:


  • Corporate and Leadership Communications : Develop and execute the annual corporate communications plan aligned with business priorities. Prepare CEO and leadership messages, speeches, presentations, talking points and town hall content. Ensure consistent corporate messaging and advise management on communication and reputation matters.


  • Internal Communications and Employee Engagement : Lead company-wide announcements, newsletters, employee campaigns and leadership updates. Support organisational change, transformation and employee engagement communications. Ensure clear communication across offices and manufacturing locations, and measure effectiveness.


  • External Communications and Media Relations : Manage media relationships, enquiries, interviews and corporate publicity activities. Prepare press releases, corporate statements, Q&A materials and briefing notes. Monitor media coverage and reputation risks, and manage PR agencies where required.


  • Corporate Digital Channels and Content : Manage corporate content for SharePoint or intranet, corporate website and LinkedIn. Develop written, visual and multimedia content, including corporate videos and publications. Track engagement and improve channel and content effectiveness.


  • Crisis and Issues Communications : Maintain crisis communication plans, holding statements and response playbooks. Coordinate accurate and timely communications during sensitive or reputation-related incidents. Support spokesperson preparation and cross-functional response alignment.


  • CSR, ESG and Corporate Campaign Communications : Communicate approved CSR, community and ESG initiatives using verified information.Support corporate awards, publications and reputation-building campaigns. Coordinate with programme and ESG owners to validate all claims before publication.


  • Planning, Measurement and Resources : Manage the communications calendar, approved budget, agencies and vendors. Establish practical KPIs and report communication outcomes, risks and recommended actions to the HR Director.


What are the Must-Have Requirements ?


Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Mass Communications, Marketing or a related discipline.
  • Minimum five years in Corporate Communications, Public Relations, Corporate Affairs or Internal Communications.
  • Proven experience preparing communications for senior leaders.
  • Hands-on experience in both internal and external communications.
  • Strong English writing skills with the ability to personally produce executive messages, press releases and employee communications.
  • Demonstrated sound judgement when handling confidential, sensitive or reputation-related matters.
  • Experiences in FMCG, consumer goods, manufacturing, multinational or corporate PR agency experience preferred.

  • Executive Writing: Produces clear CEO speeches, leadership messages, press releases and corporate announcements.
  • Internal Communications: Plans town halls, employee engagement and organisational-change communications.
  • External Communications: Handles media relations, corporate reputation and stakeholder communications.
  • Crisis Judgement: Verifies facts, escalates appropriately and maintains message discipline under pressure.
  • Stakeholder Management: Influences senior leaders and coordinates effectively across functions and locations.
  • Digital Communications: Manages SharePoint or intranet, corporate website, LinkedIn and communication analytics.
