Job description
Provide expertise in Architecture and Fire Safety design.
Collaborate with A/E design consultants, providing direction in accordance with established architectural and engineering standards.
Review design recommendations and technical details from A/E consultants against global standards, regional suitability, cost impact and business case.
Peer review A/E design deliverables, including drawing sets, specifications, sequences of operations, calculations and models.
Provide comments and resolutions in accordance with established engineering standards.
Review and advise on potential value-engineering opportunities.
Provide Architecture and Fire Safety expertise across a full data centre campus, including physical buildings, mechanical yards, electrical yards and the wider site.
Work with internal stakeholders, third-party engineers and consultants, project managers, construction management firms and construction contractors to develop and improve Architecture and Fire Safety design.
Escalate schedule-impacting design issues to the Design Manager and Architect Lead.
Attend weekly meetings with design and design management teams.
Fulfil internal stage-gate processes.
Deliverables:
Design reviews and written response management.
Stakeholder response management through internal ticketing systems, slide decks, spreadsheets, trackers, BIM360/ACC, meeting notes and similar documents.
Design Review reports in formats specified by the Design Manager.
Impact analysis between design options as required.
Construction specification updates based on localised site feedback.
Engineering Bulletins to resolve P0 and P1 issues raised through the Bug Bounty Program.
Presentations using Google Slides to communicate findings, evaluations and options to internal stakeholders.
Conceptual sketches using CAD or BIM for internal visualisation and spatial/dimensional validation.
