Job Description

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Production Planning Lead to join our planning team in Malaysia and drive an effective, responsive production plan across Integration, Plastics, and TCU operations.

In this role, you will lead production planning and scheduling, balance capacity and material availability, and work closely with cross-functional teams to keep production on track and customer commitments on time


Responsibilities

  • Lead daily and weekly production planning and scheduling for Integration, Plastics, and TCU operations based on customer demand and business priorities
  • Develop realistic production schedules that align capacity, manpower, equipment, materials, and customer delivery requirements
  • Review demand, forecasts, customer orders, and production requirements to establish effective production plans
  • Monitor capacity, manpower, equipment availability, and material readiness to identify risks before they impact production
  • Identify bottlenecks and capacity constraints, and drive recovery plans to minimize disruption to production and customer deliveries
  • Coordinate with Materials, Supply Chain, Production, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams to resolve planning and execution challenges
  • Track daily production performance against plan and communicate gaps, risks, priorities, and recovery actions to key stakeholders
  • Manage priorities and rescheduling activities in response to changing customer demand, material availability, equipment downtime, and operational requirements
  • Analyze planning KPIs such as schedule adherence, capacity utilization, inventory levels, and planning accuracy to identify improvement opportunities
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance planning efficiency, production flow, capacity utilization, and inventory performance
  • Maintain accurate planning data, schedules, capacity information, and planning parameters within the ERP system
  • Guide and support production planners and coordinators, building a strong and accountable planning team
  • Prepare regular planning reports and provide data-driven recommendations to Operations and management


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related discipline
  • 5–8 years of experience in production planning, supply chain, materials planning, or manufacturing operations
  • Strong hands-on experience in production planning, capacity planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably high-volume or fast-paced production
  • Proficiency in ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or similar platforms
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into practical planning decisions
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes, capacity constraints, material flow, and production priorities
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple functions
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coordinate, and influence a planning team
  • Able to manage multiple priorities, respond quickly to changes, and work effectively in a dynamic manufacturing environment
