Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Manage and monitor information security controls across IT systems, applications and infrastructure
Identify and manage cybersecurity risks, vulnerabilities and security exposures
Conduct security assessments and coordinate vulnerability remediation with IT teams and vendors
Monitor security incidents, investigate alerts and support incident response and remediation
Perform incident and root cause analysis and follow up on preventive actions
Review security, system and application logs where required
Ensure timely security patching, updates and remediation
Conduct user access, privileged account and system permission reviews
Support identity and access management, including provisioning, deprovisioning and privileged access controls
Ensure compliance with government cybersecurity policies, security standards and internal controls
Support security audits, risk assessments and compliance reviews
Work with IT teams, system owners, application teams and vendors to implement security controls
Review security requirements for new applications, system changes and IT projects
Maintain security documentation, policies, procedures, risk registers and assessment reports
Support business continuity and disaster recovery exercises from an information-security perspective
Conduct security awareness activities and promote security best practices
Keep up to date with cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities and security standards
Recommend improvements to strengthen the organisation’s cybersecurity posture
Required Skills & Experience
Required Skills & ExperienceDiploma/Degree in IT,Cybersecurity, Computer Science or related field
Relevant IT Security/Cybersecurity experience
Knowledge of information security, risk management and security controls
Experience in vulnerability assessment, remediation and incident management
Experience in access control and privileged account management
Experience with IT infrastructure, applications,networks
