Role Description This full-time Accountant role is an on-site position based in WP. Kuala Lumpur for one of our Clients. The Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and monthly closing activities. The role involves preparing financial statements and management reports, supporting payroll-related accounting entries, and ensuring accurate, timely recording of transactions in compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations. The Accountant will assist with budgeting and forecasting, monitor expenses, support internal and external audits, and help improve financial processes and controls. Collaboration with HR, operations, and management teams is expected to support reliable financial information for decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in core accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger management, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements, support budgeting and forecasting, and provide accurate management reports.
  • Knowledge of Malaysian financial regulations, tax requirements, and compliance standards relevant to corporate and payroll accounting.
  • Experience using accounting and ERP software (e.g., SQL, SAP, Oracle, or similar) and solid skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
  • Attention to detail, strong numerical and analytical skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with HR, operations, and leadership teams.
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) are an advantage.
  • Prior experience in a corporate or shared services environment, preferably in HR, outsourcing, or professional services, is beneficial.
