Job Description: Lorry Mechanic

Position: Lorry Mechanic
Location: Johor Bahru, Johor

Responsibilities:

• Vehicle Maintenance & Repair: Perform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostic checks on lorries, ensuring all vehicles are in optimal working condition.
• Fleet Management: Maintain and manage the fleet, including brands such as Honan, Scania, Volvo, and Fuso, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards.
• Routine Inspections: Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to identify and resolve issues before they escalate.
• Documentation: Keep detailed records of repairs, maintenance work, and inspections, including parts used and labor hours.
• Emergency Repairs: Respond promptly to breakdowns or urgent repair needs, including those occurring outside the primary work site, minimizing vehicle downtime.
• Quality Control: Ensure all repair and maintenance work meets industry standards and company specifications.
• Training & Development: Assist in training new mechanics and apprentices, sharing knowledge and best practices.

Requirements:

• Experience: Extensive experience in vehicle maintenance and repair, particularly with heavy-duty lorries.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in lorries. Specific expertise in engine and gearbox fixing. Optional familiarity with wiring and welding.
• Experience with Lorry Brands: Familiarity with brands such as Honan, Scania, and Fuso, including specific maintenance requirements.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide effective solutions.
• Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and respond to emergency repairs outside the primary work site.
• Immediate Availability: Candidates who can start work immediately or shortly thereafter are preferred.

Salary & Benefits:

• Salary Range: RM4,000 - RM10,000 (Based on experience)
• Benefits: Includes EPF and SOCSO contributions.
