Job Description

Responsibilities

A section/station chef responsible for a specific area of the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook food within the assigned station.

  • Ensure mise en place is completed before service.

  • Maintain quality, consistency, and portion control.

  • Monitor stock levels and inform Sous Chef of replenishment needs.

  • Ensure cleanliness and food safety compliance in the assigned section.

  • Minimise food wastage and control costs.

  • Support menu execution during service periods.

Typical Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of culinary experience.

  • Strong technical cooking skills in a specialised area.

  • Ability to work independently during service.
