Role Description The Principal/Senior Mechanical Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Singapore. This role is responsible for leading the mechanical design of ultra-precision motion systems and mechatronic solutions, from concept through detailed engineering and validation. Day-to-day tasks include creating and reviewing CAD models and drawings, performing design calculations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in electronics and controls to ensure system-level performance. The engineer will guide R&D activities, evaluate new technologies, and oversee prototype build, testing, and design optimization. Additional responsibilities include mentoring engineers, managing technical aspects of projects, supporting customer-specific designs, and contributing to continuous improvement of engineering standards and processes.

Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with expertise in precision mechanisms and motion control.
- Proficiency in Machine Design, including materials selection, tolerance analysis, and design for manufacturability and reliability.
- Advanced skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Experienc
- e in Project Management, including planning, scheduling, coordination of multidisciplinary teams, and stakeholder communication.
- Background in Research and Development (R&D), with the ability to drive innovation, evaluate new technologies, and lead experimental validation.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Experience in ultra-precision motion, mechatronics, or related high-tech industries (e.g., semiconductor, photonics, medical devices) is highly beneficial.
- Competence in engineering analysis (e.g., FEA, thermal, vibration), root cause analysis, and problem-solving.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
