We are looking for a hands-on and technically skilled Project Engineer (Mechanical) to join our team and support key projects in the Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage, Nutrition, and Biotech industries. This role involves coordinating on-site activities, preparing project documentation, and leading mechanical works such as equipment installation and piping erection.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow up with site walks and client enquiries for new jobs/projects.
- Support quotation and tender submissions with Project/Department Managers.
- Coordinate engineering, construction, and liaise with clients on technical requirements.
- Prepare quotations, budget plans, method statements, lifting plans, and work schedules.
- Generate MTO and raise MR for all required materials.
- Lead site execution of equipment installation, structural works, piping erection, and support installation.
- Address technical queries and resolve site issues.
- Review and interpret Project Specs, ISO drawings, GA drawings, and P&IDs.
- Conduct P&ID checks and prepare "As-Built" drawings.
- Carry out mechanical clearance, hydro/pneumatic tests, and support commissioning activities.
- Ensure safety compliance and take prompt corrective/preventive actions.
- Maintain proper ISO and QHSE documentation (for projects >50k).
- Attend coordination, clarification, and progress meetings.
- Report daily updates to the Project or Department Manager.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in:
- Piping fabrication and erection
- Equipment installation
- Preparation of MSRA, lifting plans, method statements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and MS Project.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- Prior experience in Pharma, F&B, Nutrition, or Biotech industries is essential.
