Resident Doctor – Orthopaedic & Minor Procedures Interest

About the Role

Klinik MyFam is looking for a dedicated and hardworking Resident Doctor to join our growing primary care team.

We are particularly interested in a doctor with a special interest in orthopaedic-related conditions, musculoskeletal complaints and minor surgical procedures.

This is an excellent opportunity for a doctor who wants to develop their clinical skills in a community primary care setting, with training and guidance provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care consultations for patients.
• Assess, diagnose and manage common acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Conduct appropriate history taking and physical examinations.
• Develop accurate differential diagnoses and appropriate management plans.
• Manage common musculoskeletal and orthopaedic-related conditions, including joint pain, knee pain, sports injuries and soft-tissue injuries.
• Perform appropriate minor surgical and outpatient procedures within the doctor's competency.
• Provide wound assessment, wound care and follow-up.
• Assess patients who may require further imaging, specialist review or hospital referral.
• Provide health screening, preventive healthcare and lifestyle counselling.
• Prescribe appropriate medications and arrange necessary investigations.
• Maintain accurate and complete medical records.
• Provide clear explanations and advice to patients and their families.
• Work closely with the clinic team to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism, medical ethics and patient confidentiality.

Requirements

We are looking for a doctor who:

• Is registered with the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC) and holds a valid APC.
• Has a strong interest in orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions.
• Has an interest in minor surgical procedures and wound management.
• Is hardworking, responsible and committed to providing quality patient care.
• Has good clinical judgement and strives to make accurate and appropriate diagnoses.
• Is willing to learn and continuously improve clinical skills.
• Has good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Is able to work independently while also working effectively within a team.
• Is caring, approachable and professional when dealing with patients.

Training & Development

Training will be provided for suitable candidates.
