Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Clerk to support our finance and administrative operations within the construction and engineering environment.
The successful candidate will assist with day-to-day accounting activities, invoice processing, payment documentation and financial record keeping. You will work closely with the Finance and Administration teams to support the smooth financial operations of construction projects and the company's day-to-day business activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily accounting and finance-related administrative tasks.
- Process and maintain records of invoices, payment vouchers, receipts and other accounting documents.
- Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.
- Verify invoices, supporting documents and payment details for accuracy.
- Assist in processing supplier invoices, staff expenses and project-related claims.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and filing systems.
- Assist with bank reconciliation, petty cash and basic account reconciliation.
- Follow up on outstanding invoices and payment-related matters with suppliers and internal departments.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly accounting reports and supporting schedules.
- Maintain proper documentation for construction project-related expenses and transactions.
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors and internal departments regarding invoices and payment documentation.
- Provide general administrative support to the Finance and Accounts team.
- Assist with audit and month-end closing activities when required.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned by the Finance Manager.
Requirements
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
- 1–2 years of relevant accounting or administrative experience is preferred.
- Experience in the construction or engineering industry will be an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and general accounting procedures.
- Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial records.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Responsible, reliable and willing to learn.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay: $2,800.00 - $3,400.00 per month
