Job Overview

We’re looking for a Microsoft Security Engineer to bring your talent to Noventiq Malaysia. You’ll be part of our Services Delivery Team, responsible for delivering and implementing Microsoft security solutions for external customers, with a focus on Microsoft Defender, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Microsoft Purview (Microsoft Sentinel is optional). This is a delivery and implementation role focused on hands-on deployment and migration.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with senior engineers, Project Managers, and customers to gather security and compliance requirements and implement designs.

• Deploy and configure Microsoft Defender solutions — Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, Defender for Identity, and Defender for Cloud Apps.

• Implement data protection and compliance with Microsoft Purview — Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Information Protection / sensitivity labels, and retention.

• Configure identity and access security with Microsoft Entra ID — Conditional Access and MFA.

• Deploy Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM/SOAR) where required (optional focus).

• Deliver migrations from other/third-party security solutions to Microsoft — e.g., Symantec, Trend Micro, McAfee, Forcepoint DLP, and third-party SIEMs — into Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Purview.

• Deliver Proof-of-Concept (POC) tasks to demonstrate solution value.

• Produce security configuration documentation and admin guides.

About You

• Proven hands-on implementation and deployment experience with Microsoft security solutions (2+ years).

• Implementation-focused — Hands-on experience deploying and implementing Microsoft Defender (Endpoint, Office 365, Identity, Cloud Apps).

• Experience implementing Microsoft Purview — DLP, Information Protection / sensitivity labels, and compliance.

• Working knowledge of identity and access management with Entra ID and Conditional Access.

• Experience delivering migrations from other security solutions to Microsoft (e.g., Symantec, Trend Micro, McAfee, Forcepoint, third-party SIEMs).

• Good understanding of XDR, SIEM, IAM, and cloud security concepts.

• Basic PowerShell scripting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

• English — able to read technical documentation and to speak and present confidently to customers (verbal communication is required).

Advantages (Nice to Have)

• Modern Workplace skills — Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager, and Autopilot.

• Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM/SOAR) deployment experience.

• AI and Microsoft Copilot Studio skills — exposure to Copilot agents is a plus.

• Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., SC-900, SC-200, SC-400).
