Role Purpose:
We are looking for a proactive, polished and commercially minded Business Development and Corporate Communications Executive to help strengthen the Firm’s market positioning, client development initiatives and reputation-building activities. Working closely with partners, practice groups, the Business Development Committee and support teams, you will play a key role in producing compelling content, coordinating high-impact submissions and proposals, managing communications, and enhancing the Firm’s visibility across key platforms and stakeholder groups.
What you will do:
Content
§ Legal rankings and awards: Coordinate legal directory, award and ranking submissions by drafting, editing and collating matter highlights, referee lists, lawyer profiles and supporting information; maintain submission calendars and help ensure deadlines and requirements are met.
§ Proposals and pitches: Prepare, update and customize proposals, pitches, credentials statements, capability documents and RFP/RFQ responses that are persuasive, commercially focused and aligned with the Firm’s brand and strengths.
§ Profiles and credentials: Draft, refresh and maintain partner, lawyer, practice group and firm profiles for use in proposals, directories, publications, website content and other client-facing materials.
§ Website and digital content: Manage and refresh website content, including lawyer profiles, practice descriptions, rankings, awards, insights, news, events and other firm updates, working with internal stakeholders and external vendors where required.
Branding and Communications
§ LinkedIn and profile raising: Develop and coordinate LinkedIn content for the Firm and, where appropriate, partners, including posts on deals, cases, rankings, publications, events, speaking engagements and thought leadership.
§ Publications and client communications: Work with lawyers to develop, edit and publish client alerts, articles, newsletters, legal updates, brochures, event materials and external publication content that is clear, consistent and audience-appropriate.
§ Branding, gifting and events: Coordinate client and stakeholder gifting initiatives, event materials and branded items, including vendor liaison, approvals, budgets and delivery logistics.
§ Media and public relations: Support press releases, press events, public statements, media relations and reputation management activities in coordination with partners, external PR advisers and media contacts.
§ Thought leadership: Identify and coordinate opportunities for lawyers to demonstrate expertise through articles, speaking engagements, client seminars, webinars, interviews, publications, podcasts, awards, rankings and industry collaborations.
What We Are Looking For:
§ A Degree or Diploma in communications, marketing, business, law, journalism, public relations or a related discipline.
§ Relevant experience in business development, marketing, communications, PR or content creation, preferably within a law firm, professional services firm or corporate environment.
§ Excellent written and spoken English, with strong drafting, editing, proofreading and storytelling skills.
§ Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines, multiple stakeholders and several workstreams at once.
§ Commercial awareness and ability to understand legal services, client needs, practice group priorities and market positioning.
§ High attention to detail, discretion, professionalism and ability to handle confidential information.
§ Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with LinkedIn, website content management systems, CRM tools, databases or design briefing processes would be an advantage.
Key Competencies:
§ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
§ Ability to build trust with partners and lawyers across practice groups.
§ Sound judgement, tact and professionalism in internal and external communications.
§ Creative approach to profile raising, branding and content development.
§ Organized, proactive and able to work independently while supporting a collaborative team environment.
§ Resilient under deadlines and comfortable working in a partnership-led professional services environment.
§ A positive, curious and solutions-oriented mindset, with enthusiasm for helping a professional services firm stand out in the market.
Why Join Us?
§ Be part of a respected full-service legal firm with a strong platform for professional growth.
§ Work directly with partners and senior stakeholders on high-value profile-raising and client development initiatives.
§ Build a varied portfolio across content, communications, proposals, rankings, events, digital platforms and thought leadership.
§ Contribute meaningfully to the Firm’s reputation, brand and market visibility.
