Flow Traders Hiring! Full Time Risk Manager in Hong Kong - Ricebowl

Flow Traders is looking for an experienced Risk Manager to join our Risk team in Hong Kong. The ideal candidate is communicative, decisive, and thrives in an entrepreneurial environment.

The Risk Manager will report into the regional Head of Risk and work alongside a small team responsible for Market & Credit Risk (MCR) and Treasury & Capital Management (TCM) across our APAC trading business. This is a hands-on role that combines quantitative risk analysis in close collaboration with Trading and Technology.

What You Will Do

• Evaluate and monitor APAC trading positions against market and credit risk limits, across multiple asset classes including Digital Assets
• Provide management with regular updates on P&L and risk exposure
• Analyse trading strategies and perform quantitative and qualitative risk analysis
• Support the Head of Risk in developing and enhancing the risk management framework, policies, and procedures for the region, working in coordination with global Risk teams
• Develop, implement, and enhance risk models, quantitative analytics, reports, and processes, using automation and AI tools
• Ensure other risk categories, including credit, operational, and regulatory risk, are managed within the business's risk appetite
• Support daily Treasury, securities borrowing and lending (SBL), and capital management activities

What You Need to Succeed

• 3-5 years of relevant risk management experience within a trading environment
• Degree in Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Computing, or a related quantitative field
• Strong financial markets, products, and valuation knowledge across multiple asset classes. Knowledge of Digital Assets is preferred.
• Comfortable making decisive, well-reasoned calls on OTC risk requests under time pressure
• Proficient in SQL and Python, with hands-on experience in applying AI tools to improve the efficiency of risk processes
• Adaptable to a multi-prime broker environment and APAC-specific market structures
• Strong communicator and team player, able to work directly with Traders, Technology, and external stakeholders
• Meticulous and detail-oriented, with strong numerical and logical reasoning abilities
