Our client is a prominent non-banking financial institution in Malaysia, operating at scale within a dynamic and commercially driven environment. To support their continued growth and strategic decision-making, they are seeking a high-caliber leader to anchor their financial control function.

Accountabilities:

• Own group financial reporting, tax strategy, and treasury management end-to-end.
• Act as a key finance business partner to the CFO, CEO, and Executive Board on capital and risk decisions.
• Lead technical accounting policy treatments and complex transaction positions under MFRS.
• Present directly to the Board of Directors and manage monthly board meeting agendas.
• Direct treasury operations, liquidity, cash flow optimization, and balance sheet integrity.
• Manage group tax planning, compliance posture, and engagements with tax authorities and auditors.
• Elevate senior finance teams from transactional compliance to strategic advisory.

Who you are:

• Qualifications: Fully qualified accounting professional (ACCA, CPA, MIA, or equivalent).
• Technical Mastery: Deep, end-to-end experience with MFRS is strictly required.
• Functional Coverage: Direct, hands-on leadership over Financial Reporting, Tax, and Treasury (not just "working closely with" these teams).
• Board Engagement: Proven track record of presenting directly to a Board of Directors.
• Business Partnering: Strong commercial mindset with the ability to translate financial control into strategic insights.
• Communication Style: Clear, structured, and direct communicator who excels in fast-paced environments without beating around the bush.
