About the role

You'll join an integrated delivery team working on a Singapore public sector analytics platform for transport operations. The platform brings together fleet, device and operational data, and it is growing into predictive maintenance and AI‑enabled insights. You'll build the server‑side logic, databases and APIs that power it, working alongside the client's in‑house engineers. We're hiring one engineer at Consultant level and one at Associate Consultant level.

What you'll do

• Build scalable, secure backend services, APIs and integration components
• Design and implement microservices and distributed systems
• Integrate with upstream and downstream systems, devices and data sources
• Design schemas, tune queries and protect data integrity across relational and NoSQL databases
• Develop data processing, transformation and analytics services
• Add monitoring, logging and observability to support reliability
• Implement authentication, authorisation and other security practices
• Troubleshoot application and integration issues
• Work with frontend engineers, data teams and business stakeholders
• Write clean, tested and documented code, and take part in peer reviews
• Maintain technical documentation and design artefacts
• Take part in Agile ceremonies, deployments and production support

What you'll bring

• Backend development experience on enterprise‑grade applications
• Strong programming skills in Python, Node.js or Java
• Experience designing RESTful APIs, microservices and integration services
• Relational and NoSQL databases, including query tuning
• Message queues, event‑driven architecture and system integration
• Knowledge of design patterns, enterprise architecture and secure coding
• Cloud‑native development and deployment on AWS
• Docker and Kubernetes
• GitLab, CI/CD and Agile practices
• Strong debugging and problem‑solving skills

Good to have

• Experience on Singapore public sector projects
• Streaming, IoT or telematics data pipelines
• Exposure to data analytics or ML services

• Singapore based, working onsite at the client's office
• Must be based in Singapore with the right to work here
• Must be available to start in October 2026
