Role Description The Videographer (Mandarin Speaker) is a full-time, on-site role based in WP. Kuala Lumpur. This role involves planning, shooting, and editing video content for events, promotional materials, and social media platforms, ensuring high-quality visuals that align with client and brand expectations. Responsibilities include collaborating with event planners and creatives to understand project requirements, setting up and operating cameras, lighting, and audio equipment during events, and capturing key moments and behind-the-scenes footage. The videographer will manage the post-production process, including editing, color correction, basic motion graphics, and sound adjustment, while maintaining organized media files and meeting deadlines. Regular communication in Mandarin and English with clients, vendors, and team members is required to ensure smooth coordination and accurate representation of project goals.

Qualifications

  • Strong videography skills, including camera operation, framing, composition, and lighting for event and promotional video production.
  • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent) and basic motion graphics and sound editing capabilities.
  • Fluency in Mandarin and good command of English, with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members and understand project briefs.
  • Experience working in live event environments, with the ability to adapt quickly, follow schedules, and coordinate with production and event teams on-site.
  • Solid understanding of file management, media backup, and workflow organization to ensure efficient handling of video assets.
  • Strong attention to detail, creative storytelling skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team under time constraints.
  • Relevant experience in videography, media production, or a related field; a diploma or degree in film, media, or communications is an advantage.
  • Availability to work occasional evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required by event schedules.
