Position Summary
To assist Assistant Manager, Project & Performance Management in managing the end-to-end contract and vendor management lifecycle, ensuring contractual obligations, scope of work, service levels, vendor performance, governance and business requirements are effectively managed. The role works closely with vendor/s and Business Units, such as Group Procurement, Group Legal and Group Finance to optimize contractual value, mitigate risks and ensure continuous service delivery.
Key Accountabilities
- Support and drive initiatives to optimise contract value, improve vendor performance, enhance operational efficiency and strengthen contract and vendor management practices.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, cost avoidance, process improvement, contract standardisation and improved commercial outcomes. Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support management decision-making and the continuous improvement of vendor and contract strategies..
- Ensure effective day-to-day contract and vendor management, including monitoring contractual obligations, SLA/KPI performance, vendor deliverables, operational issues, contract milestones, financial matters and service continuity, while maintaining governance and process compliance.
- Contribute to a collaborative, accountable and high-performance culture by sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues, coaching junior team members and promoting effective cross-functional collaboration. Demonstrate positive leadership through ownership, professionalism, integrity and constructive stakeholder engagement.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Law or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in contract management, vendor management, procurement, commercial management or supplier relationship management.
Area of Experiences
- Experience in contract management, vendor performance management and SLA/KPI monitoring.
- Experience managing multiple contracts and vendors simultaneously.
- Experience in aviation, customer service, outsourcing, technology or other service-based industries is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Understanding of contract lifecycle, contractual obligations, amendments, renewals, termination, SOWs and addendums.
- Knowledge of vendor relationship management, vendor governance and performance monitoring.
- Understanding of service levels, KPIs, performance measurement, service credits, penalties and incentives.
- Ability to identify contractual, commercial, operational and financial risks.
- Basic understanding of sourcing, quotation evaluation, vendor selection, procurement processes and purchase governance.
- Understanding of budgeting, invoice validation, financial commitments, recoveries, penalties and cost analysis.
- Demonstrates ownership of assigned contracts and vendor portfolios and drives matter through to resolution.
- Effectively leads and coordinates cross-functional stakeholders to achieve business and contractual objectives.
- Proactively identifies opportunities to improve processes, governance and vendor management practices.
