Job Description

Requirements

What you need

  • Diploma or degree, or final-year student
  • Own transport and a valid licence you'll cover seven campuses and multiple condo clusters. This is essential.
  • Strong spoken communication you're pitching to strangers, students, retirees, and building managers all day. Fluent Bahasa Malaysia and English required. Mandarin or Tamil is a strong plus.
  • Comfortable approaching people cold and hearing no
  • Organised enough to keep clean records without being chased
  • Prior field sales, promoter, roadshow, or campus rep experience is an advantage not required if you can hold a conversation

What we offer

  • Fixed 9–6, Monday to Friday. We don't ask for nights or weekends.
  • Base salary plus uncapped commission per verified sign-up — the more you close, the more you take home
  • Petrol and parking claims for field days
  • Direct line to the founder. Your feedback shapes the product.
  • Ground-floor role at a startup building Malaysia's national rental platform

Responsibilities

About the role

AIR is Malaysia's rental platform for tenants, owners, agents and agencies — verified identities, automated rent collection, and a portable tenant score. We're launching our Klang Valley pilot and need someone on the ground signing up our first users face to face.

This is a talking job. You'll be at university booths, condo lobbies, and management offices every day, explaining what AIR does and getting people signed up on the spot. Not phone sales, not desk work.

What you'll do

  • Run sign-up booths at seven Klang Valley campuses
  • Walk students through app download and identity verification on the spot, and close the sign-up before they leave the table
  • Visit condominium management offices and residents' committees in campus catchment areas to open access
  • Sign up individual property owners — pitch the platform, get their unit listed before you leave
  • Handle permits and bookings: student affairs offices, building management, venue slots
  • Log every sign-up, conversion, and objection in the tracker daily
  • Report weekly on what's working, what's not, and what people keep asking for
