Job Summary
Responsible for the overall planning, coordination, execution, and successful delivery of construction projects. The Project Manager will manage project scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety, resources, and stakeholder coordination to ensure projects are completed in accordance with contractual and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, lead, and manage overall project execution from commencement to completion.
- Develop and monitor project schedules, milestones, work programs, and manpower requirements.
- Lead and coordinate Project, Construction, Engineering, QA/QC, HSE, QS, Procurement, and Site teams.
- Ensure construction activities are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, method statements, project requirements, and contract conditions.
- Monitor project progress, productivity, costs, resources, and overall performance.
- Coordinate closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and relevant authorities.
- Review and manage project scope, technical requirements, variations, claims, and contractual matters.
- Identify project risks, delays, and potential issues and implement appropriate mitigation and recovery plans.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, environmental, statutory, and client requirements.
- Chair and attend project progress, technical, coordination, and management meetings.
- Review and monitor project documentation including drawings, RFIs, method statements, ITPs, reports, progress claims, and site instructions.
- Monitor subcontractor and supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of works and materials.
- Coordinate with the QS / Commercial team on project cost control, variations, progress claims, and final accounts.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination between site and office teams.
- Monitor project cash flow, expenditure, and resource utilization in coordination with management.
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly project progress reports and management updates.
- Oversee testing, inspections, punch list clearance, commissioning support, and project handover.
- Ensure all project records, as-built drawings, completion documents, and close-out documentation are properly maintained.
- Provide leadership and direction to the project team to achieve project objectives, contractual requirements, and client expectations.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field.
- Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in construction, with at least 3–5 years in a Project Manager / senior project management role.
- Proven experience managing civil, structural, architectural, industrial, or oil & gas projects.
- Strong knowledge of project management, construction planning, contract administration, cost control, QA/QC, and HSE requirements.
- Good understanding of construction methods, project scheduling, and resource management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Primavera P6 / MS Project is an advantage.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to manage multiple stakeholders and lead multidisciplinary project teams.
- Good knowledge of relevant Malaysian construction regulations, standards, and industry practices.
- Possess a valid driving licence and willing to travel / be based at project sites as required.
Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM13,000.00 per month
