What you'll do:

As Finance Manager in this established manufacturing company based in Petaling Jaya, you will be entrusted with overseeing all facets of finance operations. Your daily responsibilities will involve managing month-end closings, preparing comprehensive management accounts for senior review, ensuring statutory compliance under MFRS guidelines, as well as handling budgeting and forecasting cycles. You will supervise manufacturing costing processes-covering product costing through to inventory valuation-and partner closely with both operations and commercial teams to monitor margins and production costs. • Oversee all aspects of finance and accounting operations by managing month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely completion and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts as well as detailed financial reports and analysis for review by senior management teams.
• Ensure statutory reporting requirements are met accurately and promptly in accordance with MFRS and Bursa Malaysia regulations.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes by conducting thorough variance analysis and monitoring costs across departments.
• Supervise manufacturing costing activities including product costing, standard costing, production costs, inventory valuation, and cost variance analysis to optimise efficiency.
• Partner closely with operations and commercial teams to monitor margins, production costs, inventory levels, and overall business performance through regular communication.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, inventory turnover rates, and other key financial metrics to maintain healthy financial standing for the organisation.
• Liaise effectively with external auditors, tax agents, company secretarial teams, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth audits and compliance processes.
• Establish robust internal controls by implementing consistent accounting policies and financial procedures throughout the finance department.
• Support management with actionable financial insights and recommendations aimed at improving cost efficiency, profitability, and operational effectiveness.
• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop members of the finance team while ensuring seamless day-to-day operations within a collaborative environment.

• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience ideally within a manufacturing environment provides practical understanding of industry-specific challenges.
