IQA Technician – Job Description

Position: IQA Technician

Department: Quality / IQA

Employment: Full-Time - 8-6 (Normal) or 7-7 (Shift )

Job Summary

Responsible for performing incoming inspection and quality verification of raw materials, components, and parts received from suppliers to ensure compliance with established specifications, drawings, standards, and quality requirements before materials are released for production.

Key Responsibilities

Perform incoming inspection on raw materials, components, and materials according to inspection plans, specifications, drawings, and procedures.

Conduct visual, dimensional, functional, and measurement inspections using appropriate inspection equipment.

Verify incoming materials against Purchase Orders (PO), specifications, Certificate of Analysis (COA), and other required documentation.

Record and maintain inspection results accurately in the relevant quality system.

Identify, segregate, and report non-conforming materials to the relevant Quality Engineer / Supervisor.

Support the issuance and follow-up of Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) for rejected or suspect materials.

Perform sampling inspection based on established sampling plans and quality standards.

Work closely with Warehouse, Production, Engineering, and Supplier Quality teams to resolve incoming material issues.

Support supplier-related quality investigations and corrective actions when required.

Ensure inspection tools and equipment are properly maintained and within calibration validity.

Maintain proper documentation and traceability of inspection records.

Follow all company EHS, quality, and work procedures.

Support continuous improvement activities related to incoming quality and defect reduction.

Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor or management.

Requirements

Diploma / Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, or related field.

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Experience in manufacturing, semiconductor, electronics, or battery-related industries is an advantage.

Basic understanding of quality control and inspection processes.

Able to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.

Familiar with measuring tools such as vernier caliper, micrometer, gauge, etc.

Basic knowledge of MS Office and quality documentation.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Willing to work in a manufacturing / production environment and shift work.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,798.25 per month
