Job Description

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the SME segment.
  • Conduct prospecting, networking, and lead generation activities.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from outreach and presentations to negotiations and closing.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business owners, partners, and key decision-makers.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve business growth targets.
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline and monitor sales performance metrics.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and operational processes.
  • Attend industry events, exhibitions, and networking sessions to generate business opportunities.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop sales team members while driving overall team performance.
  • Travel across Malaysia to meet clients and expand market presence.

The Successful Applicant

A Successful Business Development Manager Should Have

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong sales or business development experience.
  • Minimum 8 years of sales or business development experience with leadership exposure for Manager level.
  • Experience engaging SMEs is highly preferred.
  • Exposure to fintech, SaaS, digital solutions, or financial services sales is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to generate leads, negotiate, and close deals.
  • Strong business development and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and target-driven mindset.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to travel across Malaysia.
  • Mandarin-speaking (verbal communication proficiency)
