Responsibilities
Chin Mee Chin Bakery, a beloved heritage Hainanese kopitiam, is hiring at NEX and looking for a Server / Traditional Beverage Maker to join our team. You'll serve guests on the floor and prepare traditional Singaporean coffee and tea — kopi and teh — the authentic way, helping bring the heritage flavours and warmth of Chin Mee Chin to a new generation of guests.
What You'll Do
Prepare traditional kopi and teh using traditional methods and recipes (e.g. kopi-O, kopi-C, teh-O, teh-C, and other variations), consistent with Chin Mee Chin's heritage standards
Take orders and serve food and beverages promptly and accurately
Greet guests warmly and attend to their needs throughout their visit
Set up and maintain the beverage station, ensuring cleanliness and proper stock levels
Clear and reset tables, keeping the dining area clean and welcoming
Uphold food safety and hygiene standards at all times
What We're Looking For
Prior experience as a server, barista, or traditional beverage maker preferred; candidates with a genuine interest in Singapore's kopitiam culture and no experience are welcome to apply — training will be provided
Friendly, warm, and guest-focused attitude
Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Good communication skills; conversational English and/or Mandarin/dialect a plus, given our heritage clientele
Willing to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays
Work Schedule
Confirm: 5-day work week, 44 hours/week. Overtime pay for hours beyond 44/week
