Job Summary

PARKROYAL A'Famosa Melaka Resort is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Housekeeper to join our team. Working alongside the Executive Housekeeper, you will lead daily floor operations, supervise room attendants and public area staff, and ensure exceptional standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and guest comfort throughout the resort.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership: Manage daily housekeeping assignments, coordinate shift activities, and ensure smooth operations across guestrooms, public areas, and laundry services.
• Quality Inspections: Conduct regular, detailed inspections of guestrooms, suites, and public facilities to ensure compliance with PARKROYAL cleanliness and brand standards.
• Team Supervision & Training: Onboard, train, and mentor housekeeping staff on proper cleaning protocols, chemical safety, equipment operation, and service standards.
• Front Office & Maintenance Coordination: Work closely with the Front Desk for real-time room status updates and liaise with the Engineering department to resolve room maintenance defects promptly.
• Inventory Control: Assist in managing stock levels for linens, uniforms, guest amenities, and cleaning supplies; participate in monthly physical inventory audits.
• Guest Satisfaction & Lost & Found: Address and resolve guest requests or feedback efficiently and oversee proper logging and handling of Lost & Found items.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of supervisory experience in hotel or resort housekeeping operations.
• In-depth knowledge of room cleaning procedures, linen management, and sanitation safety standards.
• Strong leadership, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and basic English (verbal and written).
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
