We are seeking a dedicated and proactive IR Officer / HR Executive to oversee industrial relations and human resource functions within the palm oil mill. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in maintaining positive labor relations, ensuring compliance with employment laws, managing employee welfare, and supporting HR operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle disciplinary actions, grievance procedures, and misconduct investigations in compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Maintain good relationships with labor unions and employee representatives to ensure a harmonious working environment.
- Represent the company in labor disputes, negotiations, conciliation, or arbitration with regulatory bodies such as the Labour Department or Industrial Court.
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting of all IR cases, warnings, and internal inquiries.
- Provide training and guidance to line managers on IR practices, labor law, and conflict resolution.
- Assist in performance management, employee engagement, and welfare initiatives.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of HR systems, SOPs, and policies.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of working experience in HR and IR.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian Employment Act, Industrial Relations Act, and other relevant labor regulations.
- Experience handling employee discipline, union negotiations, and IR case management.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic plantation or remote environment.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Ability and willingness to travel as required.
