SITE SAFETY SUPERVISOR (RM3,000.00 - RM4,500.00)
We are seeking an experienced and vigilant Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) to oversee Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance for our ongoing mechanical services installation work. You will be operating within a live building, where maintaining strict safety standards is essential not only for site workers, but also for building occupants, tenants, visitors, and existing building infrastructure.
Requirement:
- Possess a valid Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) Registration / Yellow Book issued by DOSH/JKKP (Department of Occupational Safety & Health).
- Competency certification from NIOSH or CIDB Green Card / Competent Person accreditation.
- Certificate, Diploma, or Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety & Health (OSH), Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience as a Safety Supervisor or HSE officer, preferably in Construction / Mechanical Works.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of local occupational safety laws (e.g., OSHA, Factories and Machinery Act, DOSH guidelines).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage multi-lingual site workers and sub-contractors.
- Basic computer literacy for report generation and safety record-keeping.
- Ability to act firmly and make quick decisions, including issuing Stop Work Orders when critical safety hazards occur.
Key Responsibilities (To list in the Job Description)
- Site Compliance & Inspections: Conduct daily site inspections to identify unsafe acts or conditions and ensure immediate corrective actions are taken.
- Regulatory Enforcement: Enforce compliance with OSHA regulations, DOSH guidelines, and internal company HSE policies.
- High-Risk Activity Oversight: Supervise high-risk operations including working at height, lifting operations, hot works, and confined space entries.
- Permits & Documentation: Review and verify Permits to Work (PTW), Risk Assessments (RA), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
- Training & Induction: Deliver mandatory site safety inductions, regular toolbox briefings, and practical safety awareness sessions to workers and sub-contractors.
- Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents, near-misses, and hazardous occurrences; prepare comprehensive incident reports and recommend preventive measures.
- Emergency Preparedness: Lead or assist the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and organize periodic safety drills.
