How You’ll Shape the Product as a Business Analyst

As a Business Analyst, Product, you’ll be part of the team that turns real customer needs and ideas into products that make a difference. You’ll play a key role in helping us build products that are not only technically sound, but genuinely useful to the people who use them.

Here’s where you’ll get to make an impact:

1. Product Discovery & Analysis

  • Support discovery for new features: synthesise customer feedback, support tickets, and implementation team input into problem statements
  • Analyse product usage data to identify adoption gaps, drop-off points and friction in existing features
  • Conduct fit-gap analysis between recurring client requests and current platform capabilities
  • Maintain a structured log of customer feedback and enhancement requests, themed and sized for prioritisation
  • Support competitive and market research on HR technology and talent intelligence products

2. Requirements & Specification

  • Write user stories and acceptance criteria in Jira for features on the product roadmap
  • Document functional specifications in Confluence using established templates
  • Create process flows, user journeys and state diagrams using Lucidchart or Miro
  • Work with Design on wireframes and prototypes in Figma to pressure-test requirements before build
  • Track requirement changes and maintain traceability from customer problem through to shipped feature

3. Delivery & Release Support

  • Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, stand-ups and retrospectives
  • Answer clarification questions from engineering during the sprint and keep tickets current
  • Develop test scenarios from acceptance criteria and verify delivered work against them
  • Log and track defects in Jira, verify fixes, and support release sign-off
  • Prepare release notes and internal enablement material for Implementation, Sales and Support teams

4. Measurement & Professional Development

  • Report on agreed product metrics - feature adoption, engagement, funnel conversion on a regular cadence
  • Build deep product knowledge of the InsightAccess platform and its configuration model
  • Build domain knowledge in HR technology and talent management
  • Learn how good product work is done here, and get better at it deliberately
  • Work toward a recognised product or business analysis certification, with company support

Who Thrives in This Role:-

You’ll thrive in this role if you’re someone who enjoys figuring things out, asking the right questions, and turning ambiguity into clarity. You don’t need to know everything on day one — but you should be curious, analytical, and willing to learn quickly.

You’re likely to thrive here if you:

  • Think beyond the request. You’re curious about the why behind a user or stakeholder request, and you look for the underlying problem rather than simply taking requirements at face value.
  • Enjoy solving messy problems. You’re comfortable working with incomplete information, connecting the dots, identifying gaps, and turning unclear requirements into something actionable.
  • Take ownership. When you spot a problem, inconsistency, or opportunity, you raise it and explore possible solutions instead of waiting to be told what to do.
  • Learn by doing. You’re willing to pick up new tools, processes, and concepts — including things that may not come with a formal training guide.
  • Have a strong analytical mindset. You enjoy working with data, spotting patterns, validating assumptions, and using evidence to support decisions.
  • Can bridge business and technology. You can explain a technical constraint in a way a commercial stakeholder understands, and translate business needs into clear requirements for a technical team.
  • Care about the details. You naturally check your work, notice inconsistencies, and keep documentation, requirements, and follow-ups organised.
  • Are comfortable with AI. You already use AI assistants as part of your work or learning — and importantly, you know that AI can be wrong. You’re willing to question outputs, refine prompts, and validate what you get.
  • Are curious about how products work. You’re interested in understanding how features behave, why users interact with them in certain ways, and where a product or AI-powered feature might break.
  • Communicate clearly. You can turn complex information into a clear written explanation, user story, requirement, or conversation.

You don't need to tick every box. If you're a fresh graduate with strong analytical thinking, curiosity, and a genuine interest in SaaS, technology, products, and AI, we’d still like to hear from you.
