ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Helper to support our kitchen team at P-Loko Café, Young Kopitiam.

The successful candidate will assist with daily food preparation, kitchen operations, cleanliness and other tasks assigned by the Head Chef / Executive Chef.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with daily food preparation and basic cooking tasks.
• Prepare, wash, cut and portion ingredients according to instructions.
• Assist the kitchen team during busy operating hours.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and work areas.
• Wash and clean kitchen utensils, equipment and workstations.
• Assist with receiving, checking and storing kitchen ingredients.
• Monitor ingredient usage and inform the Head Chef of low-stock items.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and kitchen SOPs.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of food ingredients.
• Support the Head Chef and kitchen team with daily kitchen operations.
• Perform other kitchen-related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous kitchen or F&B experience is an advantage.
• No experience? Training will be provided.
• Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Responsible, hardworking and willing to learn.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Able to follow instructions and kitchen SOPs.
• Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays when required.
• Good personal hygiene and a positive working attitude.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary

Pay: From RM1,700.00 per month

Expected hours: No less than 25.0 per week
