Responsibilities
Preventive maintenance
: Perform scheduled servicing of molds, dies, and fixtures to minimize downtime.
Troubleshooting
: Diagnose defects such as dimensional inaccuracies, surface issues, or tool wear.
Precision repairs
: Use welding, grinding, polishing, and fitting techniques to restore tools.
Machining operations
: Operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, CNC machines, and EDM equipment to fabricate or modify components.
Blueprint interpretation
: Read and apply complex engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T standards.
Tool assembly
: Assemble/disassemble tooling, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and function.
Measurement and inspection
: Use micrometers, calipers, gauges, and comparators to verify dimensional accuracy.
Documentation
: Record all maintenance and modifications in CMMS systems for traceability.
Inventory management
: Maintain spare parts, inserts, and hardware to support uninterrupted production.
