Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify new markets, customer needs, and emerging industry trends
- Research and identify potential business partnerships, collaborations, and expansion opportunities
- Generate and pursue new sales leads by contacting potential partners and prospective clients
- Develop and present compelling proposals, quotes, and sales contracts to prospective clients
- Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and business agreements in the company's best interests
- Screen potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, and financial implications
- Coordinate with marketing, sales, finance, accounting, and human resources departments to ensure alignment on business objectives
- Set sales targets, quotas, and key performance indicators for the business development team
- Track and monitor sales progress, revenue growth, and business development metrics
- Hire, onboard, and train business development staff and sales professionals
- Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to team members
