Job Description

Responsibilities

A Software and Applications Manager

oversees the lifecycle of enterprise software systems, acting as the bridge between business needs and technical execution

. They lead cross-functional teams to plan, test, deploy, and modernize software applications while managing vendor relationships and project budgets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Delivery: Lead end-to-end application delivery, including requirement gathering, solution design, and deployment.
  • System Integration: Oversee integrations via APIs, SQL, and middleware to ensure seamless data interoperability.
  • Testing & Quality: Manage system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT) to secure stakeholder sign-off.
  • Vendor & Budget Management: Coordinate external software vendors, manage service agreements, and track project financials.
  • Governance & Security: Ensure applications comply with data security policies, compliance protocols, and regulatory rules. [1, 2, 4]

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Education: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 6 to 8+ years working with enterprise applications, software delivery, or IT project management.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, REST APIs, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and software development lifecycles (SDLC).
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving abilities.
