SOG Design is a regional design firm delivering innovative, high-quality architecture and design solutions across Asia. We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth for our Malaysia market and expand our portfolio of design-led projects.
This is a key commercial role focused on client acquisition, relationship development, and securing new business, particularly across the commercial, residential, hospitality, and property development sectors.
What You’ll Do
- Lead business development and client engagement activities in the Malaysia market
- Identify, develop, and secure new project opportunities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with property developers, investors, consultants, and industry partners
- Develop and manage a pipeline of prospective clients and projects
- Lead proposals, presentations, pitches, and fee negotiations
- Work closely with Directors and design teams to develop winning project strategies
- Represent SOG Design at relevant industry events and networking opportunities
- Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for business growth
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years of business development experience with proven track record in architecture, design, real estate, property development, or construction
- Strong existing network among developers, property owners, consultants, and key industry stakeholders in Malaysia
- Proven track record of generating leads and winning projects
- Strong understanding of the Malaysian property and development market
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and/or Mandarin would be an advantage
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to build long-term client relationships
- Self-driven, proactive, and comfortable working independently
