Empire Manufacturing Hiring! Full Time Packaging Technologist - Senior Packaging Technologist in Selangor - Ricebowl

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Packaging Technologist to support our packaging development and continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring packaging quality, functionality, and compliance to meet product, customer, and market requirements.

• Evaluate and assess packaging materials from suppliers to ensure quality before delivery.

• Develop and maintain technical specifications and standards for packaging materials.

• Work closely with suppliers on new materials, supplier changes, and packaging-related issues.

• Conduct testing and evaluation of alternative packaging materials and support product stability studies.

• Coordinate manufacturing trial runs for new packaging designs, materials, and suppliers.

• Work with the ISS Team to optimize packaging configuration and container loading.

• Identify and evaluate potential new packaging material suppliers together with Procurement.

• Monitor market trends, new packaging concepts, and technologies to improve competitiveness.

• Prepare samples and product mock-ups for market evaluation.

• Collaborate with Engineering, QA, Production, ISS, and other departments to resolve packaging-related issues.

• Maintain and control Product Development (PD) documentation.

• Provide technical support to resolve customer feedback and concerns related to products and packaging materials.

• Evaluate and assess packaging materials from suppliers to ensure quality before delivery.
  

• Bachelor’s Degree in Material Science, Chemical Science, Food Science, Food Technology, or related fields.

• Passionate in product development, and consumer insights which relates to innovation new products and processes.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail.

• Responsible, proactive, and able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Good knowledge in packaging materials, food safety and food regulation.

• Good understanding of GMP, Halal, HACCP, ISO 9001, and FSSC 22000 standards.

• Good personality and positive working attitudes, responsible, self-discipline and dedicated.

At least 2 years of relevant work experience in food industry, packaging industry or FMCG. Preferably with practical experience in R&D / Product Development / Packaging Development
