Hiring: L3 Application Support Engineer (Banking) | KL Onsite | 6-Month Contract

Location: Kuala Lumpur (Onsite)

Employment: 6-Month Contract

We are looking for an L3 Application Support Engineer with 5+ years of technical support experience to join our client's project in KL.

What You Bring:

Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

Minimum 5 years in a technical support role – software or technology company preferred

Strong knowledge of computer systems, software applications, and networking concepts

Linux operating system knowledge

REST/SOAP web services development knowledge

Front-end technologies and programming languages – Java or .NET

Database knowledge – MySQL or MS SQL

Able to deploy application packages on Linux

Excellent written and verbal communication – able to explain technical concepts to non-technical users

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Basic networking principles, protocols, and configurations

Experience leading application maintenance and back-end services

What You'll Do:

Respond to user inquiries and provide technical support via phone, email, or Teams

Diagnose and troubleshoot software, hardware, and network issues

Identify and escalate complex issues to appropriate teams

Document customer interactions, issue details, and resolutions

Collaborate with product development and QA teams to improve product performance

Stay up-to-date with product knowledge and industry trends

Contribute to technical support documentation, FAQs, and knowledge base articles

Assist in training and mentoring junior technical support staff

Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed
