Role Description The Senior Sourcing & Purchasing Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in Penang, Malaysia. The role involves managing end-to-end procurement activities, including sourcing suppliers, requesting and reviewing quotations, negotiating pricing and terms, and issuing purchase orders in line with company policies. The executive will monitor purchase requisitions from internal departments, ensure timely delivery of materials, and maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier databases. Daily tasks include coordinating with production, engineering, and finance teams, resolving supply issues, tracking inventory levels relevant to purchasing, and supporting cost-optimization initiatives. The role also requires building strong supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards, and contributing to continuous improvement of purchasing processes.

Qualifications

• Strong procurement and purchase management skills, including experience with Purchase Orders and Purchase Requisitions.
• Ability to manage end-to-end Purchase Management processes, from sourcing to supplier evaluation and contract negotiation.
• Excellent Communication skills for effective collaboration with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
• Solid understanding of Procurement best practices and familiarity with ERP or purchasing systems.
• Relevant experience in manufacturing, preferably in precision metal components or related industries.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
