About the role
This role involves business development for construction and engineering clients. You will open up client resources, establish and maintain customer relationships, and uncover project opportunities. You will lead business negotiations, proposal quotations, and contract negotiations to drive deal closure. You will track industry dynamics and tender information, develop market expansion strategies, and execute bidding management. The primary work location is Hong Kong with periodic business trips to Guangzhou to collaborate with Guangzhou engineering, technical, and bidding teams.
Key responsibilities
Develop construction and engineering client resources, establish and maintain customer relationships, and identify project opportunities
Lead business negotiations, proposal quotations, and contract negotiations to drive deal closure
Track industry dynamics and tender information, formulate market expansion strategies, and execute bidding management
Organize and prepare tender documents (technical and commercial sections), control tender document quality and details
Lead the full tender and bidding process: registration, clarification, opening, response, and post-award follow-up
Maintain enterprise qualifications, tender document library, and historical project records to ensure compliance and usability of certificates and materials
Conduct periodic business trips to Guangzhou for on-site collaboration with engineering, technical, and bidding teams
About you
Bachelor's degree or above; priority given to those with backgrounds in construction engineering, engineering management, business, or marketing
3+ years of experience in construction, engineering, or enterprise services industry; priority given to those with both business development and bidding experience (especially those with senior bidding specialist background)
Familiarity with Hong Kong and mainland China tender and bidding processes, relevant regulations, and qualification requirements preferred
Results-oriented with strong business development and negotiation abilities; attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality tender documents
Fluent in Cantonese, good Mandarin, and English reading and writing ability (required for Hong Kong office)
Able to accept periodic business trips to Guangzhou
