Role Description The Finance Executive will handle the day-to-day financial operations of Cognitive Consulting Sdn Bhd, ensuring accurate and timely recording, reporting, and compliance. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, assisting in budgeting and forecasting, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. The role also involves coordinating tax-related matters, including Services and Services Tax (SST) compliance, liaising with external auditors, and maintaining proper documentation for regulatory requirements. The Finance Executive will collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights that support management decision-making and operational planning. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in WP Kuala Lumpur, with a mix of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Finance with practical experience preparing and interpreting Financial Statements.
  • Proficiency in Financial Reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for management and regulatory purposes.
  • Solid Analytical Skills for interpreting financial data, identifying trends, and providing insights to support business decisions.
  • Working knowledge of Sales and Services Tax (SST) and other relevant tax regulations, including compliance and documentation.
  • Diploma or degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently with integrity and maintain confidentiality of financial information.
