Job Description
Responsibilities
Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for construction projects.
Review architectural, structural and MEP drawings to determine material and labour requirements.
Prepare quotations, bills of quantities (BOQ) and cost summaries.
Obtain and compare material and subcontractor quotations.
Assist with tender preparation and submission.
Calculate quantities, material costs, labour costs and other project expenses.
Coordinate with project engineers, architects, subcontractors and suppliers.
Monitor estimated versus actual project costs and update cost information.
Maintain estimation records, tender documents and project costing files.
Use AutoCAD, Excel and relevant construction/estimation software for quantity and cost calculations.
Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, Building, Quantity Surveying or related field preferred.
Knowledge of construction drawings and specifications.
Understanding of quantity measurement, BOQ and construction costing.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; AutoCAD knowledge preferred.
Good numerical, analytical and communication skills.
Ability to work with project teams, suppliers and subcontractors.
Fresh graduates may be considered for junior roles with relevant knowledge/skills.
Relevant construction estimating experience is an advantage.
