Responsibilities
We are looking for a proactive EHS Executive/Senior Executive to ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations while driving a strong safety culture across the organization. You will be responsible for implementing EHS management systems, conducting risk assessments and audits, managing statutory compliance, coordinating training, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Job description:Implement, maintain, and continuously improve the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) in accordance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 requirements.
Conduct hazard identification, risk assessments (HIRARC), and establish effective risk control measures.
Lead and conduct comprehensive workplace inspections, safety audits, and safety committee activities.
Investigate all accidents, incidents, near misses, and occupational diseases; ensure timely corrective and preventive actions.
Coordinate statutory health surveillance programs such as PMA, PMT, PMD, audiometric tests, LEV inspections, CHRA, and calibration of monitoring equipment.
Ensure compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements under DOSH, DOE, BOMBA, and other relevant authorities.
Develop, deliver, and evaluate EHS training programs, safety inductions, emergency response drills, and toolbox briefings.
Manage Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policies and programs; ensure proper issuance, use, and inventory control.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date EHS documentation, records, and reports for internal use and external audits.
Prepare and present periodic reports on EHS performance, compliance status, audit findings, and improvement plans to top management.
Liaise with government agencies, external auditors, certification bodies, customers, and other stakeholders on EHS matters.
Oversee emergency response readiness including managing the ERT team and coordinating fire safety systems, alarms, and evacuation plans.
Promote a proactive safety culture and ensure consistent enforcement of EHS rules and safe work procedures among employees and contractors.
Lead initiatives to improve environmental compliance, waste management practices (including scheduled waste and e-SWIS reporting), and sustainability goals.
Perform duties as the appointed Safety and Health Officer (SHO) under the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 and its amendments, ensuring the company meets all statutory obligations.
Bachelor’s Degree / Post Graduate Diploma / Professional Degree in Environmental, Health, or Safety Engineering or equivalent.
Must hold a valid Green Book registered with the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), Malaysia.
Minimum 3-5 years of working experience in occupational safety and health or related field.
Strong knowledge of ISO 45001 and Malaysian safety & health regulatory compliance.
Excellent communication, investigation, and reporting skills.
Proficient in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin-speaking candidates who will be serving Mandarin-speaking customers.
High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to work both independently and in a team.
