Responsibilities
Technical Engineer | Power T&D | APAC Region | MNC
Key Responsibilities
Conduct technical reviews and evaluations for overseas prefabricated substation and power distribution projects.
Support the design, integration, optimization, and engineering of prefabricated substations and associated power systems.
Develop cost-effective and technically sound solutions based on project specifications, international standards, and local requirements.
Prepare and review technical specifications, bidding documents, system configurations, and engineering proposals.
Develop customized solutions including modular substation configurations and T&D system designs.
Support sales teams with technical evaluations, customer clarifications, solution proposals, and project-related technical assistance.
Define technical parameters and review engineering drawings, including Single-Line Diagrams (SLD) and General Arrangement (GA) layouts.
Apply engineering best practices to improve system reliability, quality, performance, and competitiveness.
Support projects across sectors including Data Centers and renewable energy such as solar, wind, and energy storage.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in
Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related discipline.
Relevant experience in
Power Transmission & Distribution (T&D) engineering,
preferably with exposure to international projects.
Typically 3-5 years of relevant experience, with candidates having stronger or more specialized experience also considered.
Experience with
T&D equipment such as AIS, GIS, transformers, and MV/LV switchgear.
Hands-on experience in the
design or integration of power/distribution transformers, MV/LV switchgear, prefabricated substations, SLDs, and GA layouts.
Knowledge of load calculation, short-circuit calculation, transformer sizing, CT/VT selection, and protection relay settings.
Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of BIM/3D design tools is advantageous.
Strong understanding of T&D system integration, applicable engineering standards, and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities
